So the famous french lingerie designer has celebrated sixty years in the competitive market of lingerie. Well they have actually been in operation since 1876 but they only adopted the name Chantelle in the 1950′s. I say good on them to be able to survive the market for that long and to adapt to changing fashions and trends.
Their headquarters are still in Paris however they make French lingerie in a number of factories all over Europe, Eastern Asia and North Africa. If you have still not heard of Chantelle then you may know them better as Passionata or Darjeeling as these are two other brand names that they have.
Chantelle celebrated their 60th birthday with a lingerie show that amazed every one. Chic, elegant French lingerie that was sexy and at the same time wowed the audiences and no doubt did wonders for Chantelle’s tills. Personally myself I am waiting to see the release of their Spring / summer 2010 collection which I am sure will be even more outstanding then all their other previous lingerie collections.
When I want a night in alone with my man then I always wear red lingerie. It screams seduction and sexiness. Did you know that red is the number one color for love as well?. Think of red love hearts. Anyway I am looking at Simone Perele to buy my latest set of red lingerie which is quite surprising as I have not been impressed by some of her collections.
However her Avant premiere collection has some quite tasty numbers in it that are incorporating the latest retro trends of lace trims and bows. Their red lingerie bra and brief set is made from delicate lace and I can see my man sitting there with his mouth wide open.
I really do hope that Simone carries on the retro trend to her next collection as she has managed a fine balance of mixing old with new to create modern sexy red lingerie. If you have good taste the Simone Perele definitely needs to be on your shopping list.
Finding elegant lingerie can be hard if you are a D+ cup size. It is not my problem but it is my friends and I constantly listen to her moans about how hard it is to find elegant lingerie for a lady that is a D+ cup size. Then today we discovered Bravissimo which stocks elegant lingerie, swimwear and clothing for the D to KK cup size women. I have to say their prices are good, their choice is excellent and the styles are elegant. Their aim is to allow woman of a large breast size to ask “what bra do I like” rather than “what bra will fit me”. If you are a D to KK cup size then check them out today, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
French lingerie is the crème de la crème when it comes to wearing sexy lingerie. We all think of French knickers and french maids outfit but how did France earn the name of being the birthplace of sexy lingerie?
Simple really, French lingerie was the first sexy lingerie to be marketed to the masses. In the 19th century lingerie for women was known as being restrictive, bulky, uncomfortable and sometimes damaging to a person’s health. Think of a corset, it accentuated a woman’s curves but it took two people to get her into it and very often at times she could not sit or breath properly. To look sexy in a corset took a lot of hard work.
So began a need for sexy lingerie that was easy and exciting to wear. A number of French businesses spotted this gap in the market and started giving women a choice by freeing them from their tight-fitting girdles and corsets. In the mid 90′s the trend caught on in America and the mass marketing and promotion of French lingerie had started overseas. Over the years different materials, styles and designs have emerged from some of the best well-known lingerie houses in the world. Today sexy lingerie is a multi billion pound business but don’t forget that it’s roots all started with French lingerie.
