One collection for Spring / summer 2010 that you have to check out is Layla L’obatti. I am of course referring to her Deco lace collection which is everything that luxury lingerie should be about. It is a sensual mix of peach satin with transparent black lace trims and the collection has the added ability of looking like it is comfortable to wear whilst at the same time being sexy.

In total there are four pieces of luxury lingerie that you can splash out on. A luxury Deco lace gown or robe and then a baby doll or a cami and pants set. It seems from the latest gossip in the lingerie world that Agent Provocateur is just going from strength to strength. A massive publicity campaign in the last two years has seen them go from small time designer to one of the world best. They have now have 13 stores all over the world as well as a number of stockists.

Now anyone that knows me will tell you that they are my favorite designer so of course I am going to be biased but if you don’t just want to take my word for it then have a look at the hundreds of celebrities that are glad to be known as wearing Agent Provocateur lingerie.

Known for their sexy exotic lingerie they are now becoming a favorite of housewives all over the country looking to boost their bedroom appeal. Lucky men that’s all I can say.

It is quite often that when people think of lingerie they always refer to French lingerie as being the King so maybe it is appropriate that we refer to Italian lingerie as the Queen. Flora Lastraioli is a family business that is stepped in history. Their specialty is embroidered lingerie and they are known for using only the best materials including pure silk.

Cosabella was founded by a married couple and whilst it has not been going as long as its counterparts it still has a reputation for top quality outstanding Italian lingerie. Cosabella is a popular choice of lingerie and swimwear for many movie stars and the rich.

Intimissimi is a popular designer with over 800 stores all around Italy. It is considered an alternative to the La Perla range and the latest collection focuses on floral prints, transparent black lace and comfort.

Ladies lingerie went mad in 2002 when Victoria’s secret unveiled the worlds most expensive bra and panties set. I think the fact that the red hot fantasy bra is still for sale emphasizes that not everyone has more money than sense. At an amazing 15 million dollars, Victoria’s Secret even offer to deliver the jeweled ladies lingerie set  to your door in an armored  car. That’s very thoughtful of them!.

I think the other example of ridiculous ladies lingerie purchases has to be the news that Larry Birkhead has bought Anna Nicole’s  bra and panties for their daughter. Personally if I was his daughter and he handed me used ladies lingerie as a present, I would be mighty upset. The set cost $3000.00 but in Larry’s  defense,   he claims he bought it to show Anna’s baby what she was all about.

As if the thousands of pictures and news stories all over the internet was not enough. He could of printed those stories and gave the $3000 to a charity in Anna’s  name instead.  Something tells me that Larry’s money is not going to last long.
